Quick Answer

Chef Wendy Galeana offers full private chef service in Punta Mita — on-site dinners, brunches, cooking classes, taco bar experiences, and bar service at your villa or residence. With over 20 years cooking for guests across the Riviera Nayarit, she is one of the most experienced and recommended private chefs in the area.

Punta Mita Is a Different Kind of Place

There's a reason people come back to Punta Mita. The setting is extraordinary — a peninsula surrounded by the Pacific, with private residences and resort communities that feel removed from the rest of the world in the best possible way.

When you're staying somewhere like that, going out to dinner can feel like a step down. The villa, the terrace, the view — that's the experience. A private chef is what makes it complete.

I've been cooking in Punta Mita for years. I know the communities, the access points, the kitchens. And I know that guests here aren't looking for something generic — they want a meal that feels as special as the place they chose to stay.

What I Offer in Punta Mita

  • Private villa dinners A full multi-course dinner prepared on site, in your villa kitchen, served at your table. Your group selects one of my menus — rooted in authentic Mexican cuisine, with dishes that reflect the flavors of this coast and the culinary traditions I grew up with in Guerrero. Dietary restrictions and allergies are accommodated with care, so every guest at the table feels looked after.

  • Brunch and casual meal service Not every day in Punta Mita needs to be a formal dinner. A relaxed brunch on the terrace, a casual lunch between beach days — I can handle those too, and do it well.

  • Cooking classes One of the most memorable things a group can do together in Mexico is learn to cook Mexican food. I offer hands-on cooking classes at your villa, adapted to your group's skill level and interests. It's a meal and an experience at the same time.

  • Taco bar For a more casual gathering, a celebratory afternoon, or a group that just wants to eat well without a formal setup — the taco bar is always a hit. Everything made fresh, on site, with the real ingredients.

  • Bar service Margaritas and mezcalitas are available as an add-on to any dinner service — unlimited throughout the meal. For larger events or groups looking for a full open bar experience with a wider selection of spirits, a dedicated bar proposal can be arranged separately.

How It Works in Punta Mita Specifically

Most villas and residences in Punta Mita are within gated communities. A few things to keep in mind:

Some properties have kitchen-use or event policies — it's worth checking with your villa manager or concierge in advance, as those arrangements are between you and the property.

My team and I typically arrive about one hour before service to set up and begin preparation. We'll need the names left at security so access goes smoothly on the day.

For coordination, I'll ask for a WhatsApp number so we can stay in touch leading up to the service and on the day itself.

A Note on the Food

My menus aren't built around what people expect Mexican food to look like. They're built around what it actually tastes like when it's made with care, with the right ingredients, and with a real connection to where it comes from.

Dishes like zarandeado fish cooked in adobo on the grill, arriero shrimp sautéed in butter with fresh garlic and guajillo chiles, or a slow-braised short rib in southern Mexican barbecue sauce — these are the kinds of things that make guests put their phones down and just eat.

That's always the goal.
